Claiming Your Donation
When you donate to UPMA, you may be eligible for a tax credit. To claim your donation, report it on your federal and provincial tax return. The credit varies based on the amount of your donation and your tax bracket, ranging from 15% to 33% at the federal level.

Official donation receipts issued by UPMA include the following information:
- Statement indicating it is an official receipt for income tax purposes
- Name and address of the charity as registered with the Canada Revenue Agency
- Charity’s registration number
- Serial number of the receipt
- Place or locality where the receipt was issued
- Date of donation and date of receipt (if different)
- Donor’s full name and address, including middle name initial
- Amount of the gift
- Value and description of any advances received by the donor
- Eligible amount of the gift
- Signature of an authorized individual from UPMA
- Name and website address of the Canada Revenue Agency (www.canada.ca/charities-giving)
