I’ve categorize plant medicine development into two domains:

  1. Horticulture Sciences
  2. Social Sciences

Importance of Cannabis Pillars:

The pillars of cannabis development involve “people.” These pillars closely align historically with the agrarian and social aspects of communities & societies. When people, communities or societies are excluded marginalization takes place, regarding the “Rights, Equal Access & Participation within the Cannabis Industry.” As a result, we are not meeting sustainable development goals & desired outcomes, for providing a just plant based medicine sector for all.

Let’s Recap the Pillars I’ve Revealed Thus Far;

  1. Participatory Development
  2. Women in Cannabis (WIC) & Women and Cannabis (WAC)
  3. LGBTQ+ Community
  4. Gender Development

What does “Gender” have to do with cannabis development?

NO male/female were born an awesome budtender/store manager and NOT every budtender/store manager was selling weed illegally.
NONE of the genders (women/men) were born a precision trimmer and NOT every trimmer, trimmed cannabis underground.
MOST growers (males/females) were NOT born with a green thumb and Majority DON’T have black market experience.

However, we have to build capabilities and capacities for weed development. This creates or fosters a greater & better cannabis family, community and industry. Education, training, learning and coaching are important factors for championing quality outcomes. The onus is on us, to ensure both genders, employees, staff, and colleagues, get it right. I’ll continue to advocate for a “Women’s Cannabis Day” and ” Men’s Cannabis Day” within the calendar year. I believe it pays homage and tribute to both genders, who utilize a misunderstood plant, for medicinal and recreational therapeutic healing. Great outlook from where we came from historically and where we are collectively heading into the future, joining hands, hearts and minds. Breaking free of those outdated hurdles/barriers of cannabis stigma!

Should we encourage the participation of both genders within the industry?
What can be done, for the men to support our women and the women to support our men?
Can both genders place their differences aside and unite?
Any thoughts on gender development for inclusive and holistic cannabis business strategy outcomes?
