Cannabis terpenes are essential oils found in the cannabis plant. They are responsible for the unique aromas & flavours of different strains of cannabis and have both medicinal and therapeutic effects. Terpenes are also found on other plants and are used in various natural and medical industries. They are known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, and antidepressant properties. They also have an effect on how the way THC & CBD interact with the body.
Some leading terpenes found in my cannabis crops as well as other farm herbs & spices I have grown:
- Limonene – (limes, lemmon, grapefruit, tangerine, mint, rosemary, orange)
- Linalool – (spearmints, thyme, grapes, citrus, pineapples, oregano, basil)
- Camphene – (nutmeg, conifers, spruce, sage, ginger)
- Beta – Pinene – (rosemary, parsley, dill, basil)
- Sabinene Hydrate – (guava, clove plant, black pepper, nutmeg)
In this plant medicine development, no women, child, man or human being should be left behind. It’s an uphill battle to change the way we view this once stigmatized and alienated plant, but it has the power to change lives and improve life.
